International Tiger Day is July 29 and India being home to the largest population of these majestic animals has several reserves that are your best bet to see the animal.

Here are some of India’s best tiger reserves:

  1. Nagarhole/Kabini
  2. Pench
  3. Kaziranga
  4. Corbett
  5. Satpura
  6. Pilibhit
  7. Tadoba-Andhari
  8. Bandhavgarh
  9. Ranthambore
  10. Kanha

Post the recent tiger census that has revealed a healthy rise in numbers curtesy Project Tiger, there has been an increased interest in tigers especially safaris that are done in the jungles of India.
