Avril Quadros is a certified Empath who has overcome numerous challenges in her life with a rare fortitude that is an ode to the triumph of the human spirit.

Growing up in Mumbai, Avril’s childhood was filled with music as her father was an opera singer and her mother was a rock and roll singer. “Much like the famed Abba song, my mother said I could sing before I could talk and I would coo along with the birds and imitate the sounds of the airplane when I was in my cradle.” For someone who was so creative she dominated the stage in plays, debates and elocution in school and admits she was always a rebel who did the opposite of what she was told. She finished her boarding school in Mount Abu “learning survival tricks saving myself from the bullies.” Managing her studies and music with equal aplomb, Avril moved to Bangalore soon after where she completed her graduation from St. Josephs College. Doing fashion shows and singing at the same time, she landed a job as a Kingfisher Girl where she travelled the world with Vijaya Mallya’s entourage for about 15 months. “After that I moved to Mumbai and did an acting course at Kishore Namit Kapoor but the casting couch was something I could not handle and I returned to Bangalore.” She married a record producer but the marriage did not last long and this became a critical point in her career that kick started her journey into kundalini yoga and pranic healing. Her teachers told her that she has the qualities of an Empath (a person with the paranormal ability to perceive the mental or emotional state of another individual.)
