Jahnvi Shrimankar new song Dholida from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi is making waves.

Born and brought up in Mumbai, Jahnvi is a BMM student from Sophia College, Mumbai. She started her career in 2007 as a background vocalist in the movie Saawariya.

Touring with the likes of Javed Akhtar and Amit Trivedi some of her songs include ‘Sajan More’, ‘Babaji Ka Thullu’ (Red Rass Season 5), ‘Chundaldi’ ‘Leja Leja (Teere Sang), ‘Prem Nagar’ (2020), ‘Khubaroo’ (The Melodious Parthiv Gohil), ‘Saybo’ (Gujarati songs), ‘Tamari Najarma’, ‘Ek Patan Shaher’, ‘Hari Hari Jevi Tamari Marji’ (2004) and Meera Ne Madhav No Raas (2020).

She has also lent her vocals in television serials, jingles, and radio plays and has also sung in Gujarati and Malayalam. Her musical shows Ishq Sufiana, Rages to Rock, Navras, Rag Rang, and Kavya Samaroh are quite popular too.

Interestingly, she is one of the few artists from India who has performed at almost all music festivals including the likes of Paddy field, Alive India, Phoenix Market City concert, Panch Mahotsav, Kala Ghoda, NSCI Dome Raas – Garba, Colors of India, Berlin Music festival, The Hindu November Festival, Park Fest, Tanjore Festive of sacred music and the Covelong Surf fest.

She spoke at length about her debut lead song Dholida from the film Gangubai Kathiawadi, one that has come 15 years of being in the industry.
