Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives

Spread the love

If you are looking for a holiday ensconced in a private island look no further than the Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives

White sands, turquoise blue water and lush green palms with villas perched above the ocean seem quite like paradise. And this was the exact setting that welcomed me to Mӧvenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives. With 72 overwater pool villas, 30 beach pool suites and three beach spa pool residences; this resort is located at Noonu Atoll. I stayed at the stunning overwater pool villa that is dreamy with a glass floor to see the ocean below, a large bedroom with a verandah overlooking the sea and a large bathroom space and a private plunge pool. The walk in wardrobe is a separate room by itself. Ecologically the resort has its heart in the right place with 1700 solar panels, water heating systems that use regenerated heat from the air conditioning unit, a desalination plant and a bottling plant for fresh water. Apart from glass bottles and compostable straws, all the bio waste is recycled and food is largely sourced locally.

The in house restaurants here include Onu Marché open for breakfast and dinner and offers cuisine theme nights as well. Lunch is at Latitude 5.5 that is known for its grills and for dinner head to the overwater restaurant Bodumas for an amazing spread of seafood. The complimentary Chocolate Hour at Mövenpick Coffee & Wine Lounge at 4:00 pm every day is a must do to sample the brand’s signature chocolate specialties. A visit to the in-house Sun Spa that has treatment rooms built over the ocean is a great way to relax and rejuvenate. If you are with family, the Little Birds Kids Club is a great hit with kids and the resort offers tennis, basketball and beach volleyball too. You can also indulge in a spot of snorkeling on the house reef and come up close with the rich marine life of the region. The resort also organises turtle expeditions, diving exploration, dolphin cruise, sunset fishing and shark safaris. Health seekers can head for a yoga session or hit the gym. A holiday in the Maldives is like no other and Mӧvenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives takes the experiences many notches higher.
