Hair Tales
I am suggested to try on of the signature Kérastase treatments and my therapist Sumit from Darjeeling leads me to the Hair and Scalp Institute a separate room where he uses the Kérastase Diagnosis Camera and hands me an iPad so I can see images of my scalp. The camera captures aspects like hair density, sensitivity, sebum, dandruff presence, erosion, dryness and shine and based on my results I was recommended the Soothing Scalp Ritual that relieves the scalp from redness, itching, tingling and burning and soothes the scalp boosting immunity. The first step is using a Kerastase Specifique Masquargil that cleans and detoxifies the scalp. This is applied in sections and then lightly massaged. This is then allowed to stay for five minutes before it is rinsed off using water and Kerastase Specifique cleansing soothing shampoo formulated for sensitive scalp and dry hair. My hair is then towel dried and Sumit mixes the Kérastase Fusio Dose a booster nutrition nourishment booster and Nutri-Huile concentrate to address frizz which is applied section wise on the length of the hair avoiding the scalp. Then the Kerastase Specifique Masque Hydra Apaisant is applied on the scalp and Kerastase Nutritive Masquintense is applied on the length of the hair. Once done my hair is massaged well and a mist is given using a machine where my head is covered and the mist is blown into the hair. Since I have issues with hair fall I was given a low intensity mist to ensure the hair was moisturized. The mist is given for 10 minutes and once the warm mist stops the machines automatic stops and blows cold air into the hair for a few minutes. After this my therapist rinses my hair with plain water and applies an Apaisant Cure, a scalp treatment to reduce sensitivity and protect against hair fall using a pistol gun mechanism. This is sprayed all over the scalp leaving a cool sensation and a drop of serum Kerastase Elixir Ultime is applied and my hair is blow dried, leaving it smelling divine and feeling soft.
Happy Feet
I also tried the Footlogix pedicure which was done by my therapist Mythili from Bangalore. She started by shaping my nails as they were short and then filled the pedicure station with warm water into which she added a Foot Soak from Footlogix. This is a combination of urea and aloe vera and is pH balanced, gentle cleansing and a moisturising soak with anti-microbial properties. The concentrate is blended in a fresh scent formula that rehydrates the skin and softens calluses. After 5 minutes she applied a callus softener spray and using a cuticle pusher started cleaning the edges of my cuticles and cleaned the nail cutting off the extra cuticles. after this my feet were allowed to soak in the warm water and using a Footlogix metal scrub all the dead skin from the back of my feet was scrubbed off. Another softer brush was also used to scrub the back of my feet to leave the skin feeling supple and soft. After this an exfoliating seaweed scrub is massaged into my legs and gently massaged so that all the dead skin is exfoliated. Then she applies some foot soak on a small brush and scrubs my cuticles and feet and rinses my feet with warm water. Tapping my feet dry with a towel, she then applies a DD Cream Mousse to keep the feet moisturized and then applies the Massage lotion and massages the feet for about five minutes. At the end if it my feet are both silky and soft. Applying a nail colour of my choice at the end of the session, my feet are feeling and looking happy.
