Well, if you want to get the best of street food and a clean environment, head to Kava at Fairfield by Marriott on Outer Ring Road in Bengaluru. As we settled into our comfortable seating, we were offered a couple of fresh summer drinks – buttermilk or chaaas and mango lassi. Both these were refreshing and fresh and the perfect way to start the meal. The buffet is interactive and all the food is made live at separate counters so you can add your personal touch and have your food how you like it. Here are counters and what you can eat.

Chowmin Station:

This is where you can try not just chowmin but also chilli chicken and chilli paneer. I tried the chill paneer a mélange of bell peppers, baby corn carrot, sweet corn, brown onions and green peas tossed in chilli sauce and vinegar that has a nice taste with the softness of the paneer matching the crunch of the vegetables perfectly.

The Chaat Station

Chaat Station:

The eternal favourite chaats include the chole samosa, a delightful mix that will leave you asking for more, papdi chaat, dahi bhalla, pani buri and bhel puri.

Salad Station:

If you are watching your health, the green salad, spicy raw mango salad, condiments, yoghurt and chutney are a must try.

Pav Station:

This is where you can try both Missal Pav (for vegetarians) and Kheema Pav (for nonvegetarians) along with an assortment of condiments that will take you back to Maharashtra.

Paratha Stall:

This is where you can see the Chef make the typical Malabar paratha live and it teams beautifully with Veh Korma or Chicken Serva and Onion Pachidi.

Chawal Station:

Considering that no meal feels complete without rice, at this station you can try Chicken Tikka Biryani and Bring-e-hina, a delightful rice made with brinjal and spiced mildly that leaves a nice feeling in your mouth. Team this with raita, papad, pickle and salan and you have a complete meal.

Mithai Stall:

And what is a meal that does not end on a sweet note? So you have a variety of Indian desserts ranging from jalebi with hot milk, Kaddu ka Halwa, Gulab Jamun, Malpua with rabdi, Assorted Indian sweets and Ice cream with condiments. Yes, that certainly packs a punch, much like the rest of this meal.

With a menu that changes weekly, you can try it every Wednesday at Kava – it’s a meal that will make you smile. Well, good food is all about good vibes and this meal will give you all that and more.
