An afternoon is well spent with bite sized cakes, sandwiches and more with tea and coffee at Shangri-La Bengaluru.
Small bites are always good fun as it allows you to experience many flavours. This is why I said yes to a brand new promotion called Tea Amore at Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru.
The experience unfolds at the expansive, plush lobby at Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru where you can indulge in a delightful tea experience with your loved ones and sample an excellent collection of cakes, confectionaries, sandwiches, rolls, buns, tea, coffee and refreshing drinks.
“With a theme of love, the food and drinks are paired accordingly. The desserts use berries, strawberry and lychees to match the theme and you will find this flavour in the food,” says Chef Gagandeep.
I tried strawberry tart, Angelina (dessert in a shape of a a swan), Bleeding heart (heart shaped lychees), rose and lychee macaroons, chocolate berry tart, flavoured chocolates, checkboard sandwich ( a combination of brown and white bread with soft butter), cream cheese cucumber sandwich and French biscuits and scones with cream and strawberry jam.
A must try is the pink burgers that have the crunchiest patty inside and being a small size, you are sure to devour a few easily.
We sampled the delectable spread with masala chai and chocolate smoothie. There is also an excellent filter coffee served in a traditional brass tumbler set. You can also choose to pair this with cocktails.
