Chef Manish Mehrotra from Indian Accent, voted the best restaurant in India, speaks about how he looks back at his eventful life.

JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru recently had a pop up by Chef Manish Mehrotra from Indian Accent, New Delhi who showcased his signature dishes a first for the city.

Indian Accent showcases inventive Indian cuisine by complementing the flavours and tradition of India with global ingredients and techniques. Chef Manish Mehrotra has designed the menu of Indian Accent.
The original restaurant in New Delhi opened in 2009 to significant acclaim for its unconventional and innovative approach to contemporary Indian food. Indian Accent, New Delhi, has been awarded the San Pellegrino ‘Best Restaurant in India’ by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for seven consecutive years and ‘Number 1 Restaurant in India’ by Condé Nast Traveller and Himalayan Sparkling Top Restaurant Awards. It has been included in Time magazine’s ‘World’s 100 Greatest Places’ list and has also been in the ‘World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ list since 2015. It opened in New York in 2016 to critical and popular acclaim and is opening soon in Mumbai.

Indian Accent, has recently been ranked #19 in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list, a much-coveted ranking, cementing its position as one of the finest dining establishments in Asia. Chef Manish has been called the most exciting modern Indian chef in the world today. He has been awarded Best Chef in India by several establishments and publications.

I did an exclusive interview with Chef who spoke in detail about how he looks back at his career and achievements to date.
