Ilika’s Spa menu seamlessly bridges ancient Indian traditions, local tribal elements and classic therapeutic rituals.
The spatial setup features dedicated indoor treatment rooms seamlessly integrated with specialised outdoor treatment areas and open-air baths to ensure zero structural disconnect between guests and the wild grasslands. Flooded with organic light by day via floor-to-ceiling glass windows that frame the forest, the evening illumination relies on dim, ambient warmth to emulate campfires and the starry night skies of Central India.
The roadmap for Ilika focuses on deepening community-inclusive luxury. Expanding the footprint of raw, wild-harvested treatments by mapping out more seasonal forest ingredients with the help from the locals is key. The plan is also to work on expanding specialised sound bath and meditation programmes integrated with riverside mindfulness trails along the Banjar River.
The entire concept pays homage to the animist, natural way of life practised by the indigenous communities of Kanha. This is a classic Indian treatment designed to provide deep relaxation.
Some of the signature treatments include:
Ayurvedic Poultice Massage (Potli Therapy): A traditional healing treatment where heated poultices filled with hand-gathered local medicinal herbs are steeped in warm, premium essential oils and massaged deeply into muscular tissue.
Body Exfoliation/Traditional Ubtan: A skin-nourishing beauty ritual utilizing an authentic scratch-made paste of locally grown rice, indigenous wild turmeric, fresh village yogurt and wild honey sustainably gathered by the local Baiga tribal community.
Kanheri Clay Body Wrap: A deep detoxification ritual that cocoons the body in mineral-rich Kanheri clay. This local soil is mindfully collected right before the monsoons, sun-dried and stored specifically for its powerful firming, immunity-boosting and skin-toning properties.
Other Healing Touch Therapies
