Bihar Museum, Patna
The New Bihar Museum in Patna is a breath of fresh air, per Poddar, and has a great section on Madhubani and contemporary art. Their children’s section deserves a special mention, and even their cafe, which serves amazing Bihari food with Litti Chokha, is a must-do when you are there.

Calico Museum of Textiles in Ahmedabad
While this is a little difficult to get into as visits need to be booked in advance, and is limited to small groups, this museum has a fantastic collection. “It’s really something that whoever is interested in museums, especially in textiles, must definitely visit,” says Poddar.
