Architectural hardware includes all the fittings and fixtures that support the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of a built space such as door handles, locks, hinges, sliding systems, glass fittings, and door closers. While often unnoticed at first glance, hardware plays a crucial role in how a space functions and feels.

From enabling smooth movement between rooms to enhancing security and durability, good hardware supports both the practical and design intent of a project. Hardware really is the silent backbone of a well-designed space—it ties the project together both technically and visually.

Modern architectural hardware has evolved significantly in terms of materials. While stainless steel continues to be a staple for its strength and corrosion resistance, we’re now seeing increased use of:
● Aluminium profiles – lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and ideal for partition, sliding systems. At Ozone, we use homogenous aluminium alloys in our profiles ensuring structural integrity and consistent finish. Aluminium is also recyclable, supporting our sustainability goals.
● Zinc alloys – for detailed designs without compromising on strength
● Advanced finishes – such as PVD coatings and matt textures that offer both longevity and design flexibility
These materials are chosen not just for durability but also for ease of maintenance, finish versatility, and their ability to work well in a variety of settings—from homes to commercial spaces.
