The Culinarium Alpinum in Stans, Switzerland is a great way to understand how local food and traditions are being kept alive.
- This is a place that has a garden that grows traditional herbs, berries, and spices. A guided tour by one of the staff gives an interesting insight into the same.
- You can also stay here – there are well appointed rooms that are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.
- There is a wine cellar where you can sample some of the finest wines of the country, that is normally not available outside.
- The cheese cellar is extensive with cheese being aged under controlled climatic conditions.
- Enjoy a meal at the restaurant, I sampled a completely vegetarian meal that was crafted to perfection.
