
A painting that dates to 1606 and was thought to be lost before resurfacing in 2014 will be on display at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) from June 14 to July 6.
Italian painter Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, or Caravaggio, whose artworks are known to have a formative influence on Baroque painting, and now the city can actually see his brilliance in one of his important artworks. Previously displayed in Delhi at the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, Mary Magdalen in Ecstasy will soon be in Bangalore. We speak to the city’s art aficionados and experts to weigh in.
