Today’s collections are also heavily influenced by destination dressing. Considering the growing popularity of beach weddings, sundowner ceremonies and carefully planned vacation wardrobes, jewellery must go well with flowing textiles like georgette organza and chiffon. Statement pieces that look great in photos and are comfortable for extended celebrations are what brides and wedding guests want. Detachable earrings, adjustable chokers and items that can be styled in various ways are becoming more and more popular as versatility has become crucial. Jewellery is now experiential and travel-ready not just ceremonial. Customers are also much more aware than they were in the past.
Craftsmanship durability and ethical production are becoming more and more important. Women are investing with greater consideration selecting fine items that can be worn for many seasons rather than just one. For brands this entails emphasizing longevity, ethical sourcing and paying tribute to the craftspeople who create the goods. Balance is key to our modern conception of summer jewellery: it should be light but opulent classic yet modern and bold yet cozy. The modern woman is unwilling to choose between elegance and convenience. She anticipates both. And it is our duty as designers to build with that knowledge at the center. Summer hasn’t diminished my love for jewellery in my opinion, it’s just altered how women prefer to wear it. Indeed, there is a noticeable increase in lighter everyday items during the warmer months.
Women are drawn to ease of use, breathability, and comfort. Jewellery with a bold statement design is still relevant. The demand for occasion wear is still high, it’s just more intelligently designed. These days a bridal set or statement choker is designed to look impressive without being overpowering. To make the piece feel lighter on the skin while still providing that opulent heirloom-inspired presence the emphasis has shifted to refined proportions, intricate yet thoughtful detailing and clever construction. Attrangi deliberately strives to achieve this balance by making jewellery that combines the elegance of traditional design with the functionality that contemporary women demand. Younger women’s perceptions of traditional gold aesthetics are also changing significantly in my opinion. They want their heritage to fit their lifestyle but they still place a high value on it. They prefer slimmer bangles, elegant Polki-inspired pieces, exquisite karigari and modular designs that can be dressed up or down rather than large silhouettes. It’s about transforming tradition into something wearable, heat-friendly, and adaptable, not about altering it. The experience gets lighter while the craftsmanship stays intricate.
