V. Sunil – the creative force behind Incredible India! and Make in India is now building a new chapter in India’s experience-led design and branding through .POTNTIAL, a brand and experience design company operating at the intersection of business, culture, design, and technology.

‘Made for India’ to ‘Make in India’ captures much of the creative journey of V Sunil. He embarked on his career in India’s top advertising agencies, becoming Creative Director at Ogilvy in 2002. During his tenure, he crafted and conceptualised the iconic Incredible !ndia campaign, with the objective of showcasing India as a high-end tourist destination.

In 2003, Sunil founded [A], which later merged with Wieden+Kennedy in 2007. As Executive Creative Director at W+K, he played a pivotal role in building beloved brands like Royal Enfield and IndiGo. In 2014, Sunil gave birth to the global movement ‘Make in India’. He co-founded the JDH Urban Regeneration Project in 2015, restoring the Walled City of Jodhpur to its former glory through a mix of architecture, art, retail and hospitality.

In 2016, Sunil co-founded Motherland Joint Ventures. His impact extended to designing OYO’s Townhouse hotels in 2018. The following year, he launched Motherland Superstore, offering a fresh perspective on Indian sub-culture and counter culture. Sunil’s multifaceted creativity also includes founding Motherland Magazine in 2010, alongside serving as a Founder Trustee of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale and advising arts organisations globally.
