Amari Pattaya reopens with a marvelous transformation and accommodation includes the all-new Amari Suites, and the fully reloaded Amari Tower.
A 90 minute drive from the bustling Bangkok airport and the scene changes to all shades of blue as I enter Pattaya. It is probably the endless sight of the ocean that evapourates my travel stress magically and it helps that I am here to check out the newly renovated Amari Pattaya.
Located on the northern end of Pattaya Bay, a stone’s throw away from the new Terminal 21 shopping mall, the towering grey and blue façade of Amari Pattaya surrounded by lush greenery and the ocean makes for a great first impression. The resort now offers a choice between two distinct wings – the Amari Suites and the Amari Tower. There are 297 stylishly refurbished rooms and suites across categories that range from Deluxe Rooms to Executive Club Ocean View Suites.
The Amari Suites (49 two and three bedroom residential style suites) located in a low rise building enveloped with lush landscaping are designed with a contemporary feel and seamlessly integrate vintage architectural features inspired from traditional Thai homes. What makes these rooms special is that all of them have ocean views and some of the ground floor suites have direct access to the pool and gardens. There is complimentary valet parking and a private buggy ride to the Amari Suites lobby and a private check-in too so you know you are in good hands. The rooms at the Amari Tower are spacious at 49 squares metres and have balconies. The rooms have a contemporary chic vibe with a pleasing blue and white theme complete with orchid motifs and local textile accents.
The hotel has some good dining options like the Amaya Food Gallery with open-air cooking stations and food inspired by the local food markets of Asia. Breakfast is an extensive affair and a kids-only breakfast section manned by the resort’s animation team is a specialty. You can also chill at the poolside Aqua Eatery & Bar where you can sip on a cocktail and munch on some delectable Thai food. A free-form swimming pool with a treehouse themed slide, an Aqua Park and a fully equipped gym will make health watchers happy. Hop into the Breeze Spa to try the signature Pattaya Refreshing Package that will rejuvenate you completely. Now that’s what a holiday should be all about isn’t it?
