The city with a French connection, Pondicherry has a charm that is unlike any other and is an interesting mix of Tamil and French cultures which gives it a unique vibe.
One of my favourite cities to travel to has always been Pondicherry or Puducherry as it is now called. Pondi is however how locals call their city.
My favourite part of the city is its beach front area that is dotted with several stores and cafes and has an easy going vibe. However it is the wonderful architecture of the city that always captures my heart.
With its ochre hued buildings, the city’s Indo French architecture is seen everywhere. You just need to look and you will find it all around.
