This is a story of how mom entrepreneurs manage their dual roles as mothers and entrepreneurs. I spoke to several women to understand how they navigate this.

Mom guilt does find its way in, especially during moments when work pulls themr away. But over time, they have reframed it—not as conflict, but as a reminder of how deeply they values both their roles.

She wants her child to grow up seeing not just a mother who was present, but a woman who was driven, independent, and passionate about what she built. She truly believes that when she is fulfilled and happy, it reflects in her home. Her daughter feels it. So she chooses to do what satisfies her, what challenges her, what helps her grow, because in doing that, she is also showing her child what it means to live a life with intention. Also, what a great help and support her child’s dad has been in this journey.

She sees what true partnership means. Me time was the most important thing she did for herself to recharge her batteries. Before that, she was exhausted, resentful, and literally had nothing left in her to give. When she is empty of all her energy, then she can’t give herself anything, let alone to her kids and husband.

Before every flight, the crew reminds them of something simple but powerful: secure your own oxygen mask before assisting others. Because if they’re struggling to breathe, they won’t have the strength or clarity to support anyone else. And these days this is what she tells most women business owners who are starting and have little ones at home in respect to me time.
