Writer-director Ananyabrata Chakravorty’s debut feature Kaisi Ye Paheli to have its theatrical release across India on 28th November.
The film had its World Premiere at the New York Indian Film Festival 2025 in the Competition Section and was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Debut Film. The film also was officially selected in Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2025 and is the Opening Film at the upcoming edition of Yellowstone International Film Festival in Mumbai.
Ananyabrata, a writer-director from Assam and now based in Mumbai, holds degrees in engineering and business administration. His debut feature, Kaisi Ye Paheli, follows his short films 90 to Win and Naukri. He also authored the novel Split Second and wrote the Hindi lyrics for Ricky Martin’s Vente Pa’ Ca.
