Andrea’s journey into pet grooming began with a simple but striking gap – the lack of trained professionals and organised services in the country. What started as a personal need soon evolved into a larger mission to build an entire ecosystem from the ground up.
In 2008, she founded Petsburgh, introducing India’s first mobile pet grooming van and setting the foundation for what would become one of the country’s most recognised names in professional pet care. Today, Petsburgh offers grooming, spa, daycare, and boarding services in Mumbai, all rooted in a philosophy of high-standard, compassionate care for animals.
Recognising that the real challenge lay in the lack of skilled professionals, Andrea went on to establish the Petsburgh International Grooming Academy – a first-of-its-kind institution offering structured, internationally benchmarked training. The academy has since trained a new generation of groomers who are actively shaping the industry today.
She further strengthened the ecosystem by founding the Professional Pet Groomers Association of India (PPGAI) in 2019, creating a formal platform for certification, global exposure, and international-level competitions for Indian groomers.
An International Certified Master Groomer (ICMG) from IPG, USA, and a globally recognised instructor, Andrea continues to drive conversations around pet care standards, skill development, and the evolving culture of pet parenting in India.
