
The twin Buddhist sites of Bojjannakonda and Lingalakonda in Anakapalle are a fine example of Buddhist architecture.
The first time I heard of Buddhist sites in Andhra Pradesh was several years ago when I was on a visit to Vishakapatnam. However it was until many years after that I could actually visit the site. Located in the sleepy village of Anakapalle, these twin sites are located within the same complex at Sankaram.
I was here towards late afternoon a rain filled day and as lucky to have the place largely to myself. Here are some images of the beautiful site:
