De-frizzing your hair is an aspect that you must not miss in your hair care routine as frizz causes several hair issues.
There are two major causes of frizzy hair, harsh chemical products, and humidity during monsoons. Products laden with harsh chemicals and toxins can lead to breakage of hair, dandruff, split ends and turns the hair dry and frizzy.
Frizz is a very common problem associated with curly hair. The rise in humidity aggravates frizzy hair, making it difficult to manage. Textured hair is naturally dry because the scalp’s natural moisture cannot penetrate the hair shaft owing to its raised cuticles. Also, it looks very messy and is difficult to style which is why most women with frizzy hair resort to wearing bandanas or head scarfs to keep their hair in place.
Ingredients like Jamaican black castor oil, fermented rice water extract, and flax seed are excellent natural conditioners for frizzy hair and must be incorporated into one’s hair care routine.
Products infused with Shea Butter are high in essential fatty acids as well as the vitamins A, D, E, and F. This helps to control dry and frizzy-looking locks that are in dire need of hydration.
The first step is to cut down on harsh chemicals and use natural ingredients that will give visible results in just one to two months, as they repair the problems and undo the damage caused by these harsh chemicals. Ayurvedic herbs like Fenugreek (methi), Bhringraj, Indian Gooseberry (amla), Aloe Vera, Rosemary, and Ashwagandha have been tried and tested to help dry frizzy hair.
