Gourds are the most common vegetables that is used in India from time memorable However they are even more significant in today’s diets, because of the various health issues that can be seen in the youngsters.

All of those gourds bottle gourd, ridge gourd and ash gourd contains plenty of water content and zero fat content. All of them have enormous medicinal properties, are low in calories and is used in Ayurvedic cooking and therapies because of these unique properties.

Bottle gourd: This also has a lot of health benefits. It is very good for high blood pressure and heart diseases.

Ridge gourd: This is highly nutritious and packed with fibre. Hence, acts as a natural laxative and contains a lot of vitamin C, iron and magnesium.

Ash gourd: is an ideal vegetable for diabetic patients and very good for weight control.
In Ayurveda, the juice of ash gourd is used effectively in mercury poisoning and snake bites.
