Hampi Art Labs has recently opened at Toranagallu, Bellary near UNESCO World Heritage Site Hampi to provide artists with a platform to explore their creativity without any stops.

Rust. And more rust. This is a hue that is unmissable when you are in Toranagallu in Bellary. This is not just the colour of the sand here that is rich in iron, the steel connection courtesy JSW’s largest steel plant located here and is also the colour of its newest address – the Hampi Art Labs (HAL).

The expansive nine acre space is by the JSW Foundation and is spearheaded by Sangita Jindal, Founder, and her daughter Tarini Jindal Handa, Creative Director. The concept of the space is to primarily work as a residency – there are five large studios that will host as many artists every quarter.
