Navratri is one of the important festivals celebrated by people across the and is celebrated across the country. From Gujarat where the nine days is celebrated with energetic Garba folk dance, to West Bengal where its celebrations include massive communal feasts and decorations, and rituals. In South India, people engage in their traditional rituals and decorations, while North India, enjoys variations of Ramlilas, plays depicting the Ramayana epic.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Singhara flour
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • Cardamom powder, to taste

Method

  • Roast Singhara flour in ghee.
  • Add sugar, water, cardamom.
  • Cook until thick.
  • Serve warm.
