Novotel Goa Panjim is a new hotel in the heart of Panjim that has several aces up its sleeve so make sure to bookmark this for your next trip to Goa.

Goa is a state that has an allure like no other and each time I am here I always see a different perspective to it. This time I even caught a great view from the flight itself.

My latest visit was for the launch of Novotel Goa Panjim, located in the heart of the capital city, a plush new accommodation option. With 143 rooms and suites, the property is about 35 km from Dabolim airport and is accessible from the MOPA airport as well. My room was great with all modern amenities as well as a balcony.

The location is great as it allows you to explore the many sights and sounds of Panjim easily while you have a stay that has all the comforts of modern day living.

At the launch event, I saw an interesting traditional dance by local artists, something that I always love about Accor as a brand that showcases the culture of the region where its properties are located.

The hotel is located very close to the Mangrove Board walk literally a stone’s throwaway, a place that is great but needs maintenance.

I also visited the nearby Maruti temple, located on an elevation, that is serene and also gives some great views of Panjim.

I also visited Miramar beach (after all when in Goa, it is hard to miss a date with the sea), and spent a few minutes on a not very hot morning.

And of course a visit to Fontainhas the Latin quarter with its colourful homes and beautiful local architecture is a must.

In all this quick trip to Goa was great as I sampled some authentic food with a local Goan Thaali at Food Exchange as well as previewed the Nora’s Cantina, the Spanish & Portuguese Tapas Bar. Do check it out the next time you are in Panjim.

Disclaimer: I was hosted at the property but all opinions as always are mine.
