The capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Port Blair has an interesting mix of historical, cultural, and contemporary sights.
Port Blair may often be thought of as the point that connects one to islands like Havelock Island, but the city packs a punch with a mélange of things to see and do. Therefore, it is advisable to spend at least 36 hours here.
Here are some places that you can visit in this wonderful island city:
- Breakfast at Annapurna
- Cellular Jail
- Government Saw Mill Chatham
- Naval Marine Museum Samudrika
- Lunch at Mariposa, Coral Cove
- Nature Park and Interpretation Centre
- Sunset at Corbyn’s Cove beach
- Flag Point and Marina Walk
- Dinner at Amaya, Seashell Port Blair
- Breakfast at Kattapommen – Pure Veg South Indian for breakfast
- Chidiya Tapu
I had one of the best travel experiences here as the birding life is excellent and I was fortunate to do a guided bird watching session here – one of my best.
