Vicky Singh, Partner at Slink & Bardot and Banng, has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant business in India, Dubai and London. With a zest for travel and discovering dining subcultures, Vicky has created distinct dining concepts that tell a story about a particular time, place, culture or cuisine, while celebrating the bounty of premium ingredients available both locally and internationally. Always pushing boundaries, he re-launched Mumbai’s bona fide anchor and home away from home to many, Slink & Bardot in a whole new avatar and launched Banng Dining and Bar in Mumbai.
With a degree in Hotel & Catering from University of North London, UK, Vicky had developed a love affair with storytelling and hospitality of the restaurant industry at an early age. He moved back to India post his graduation, and founded Out of The Blue (1999), Mumbai’s first fondue and sizzler restaurant. Being a constant innovator and moving countries where the culinary scene is ever-evolving; he along with his partners launched Rain (2001) a fine dining restaurant focusing on modern European cuisine. The same team along with Vicky who was the COO, founded and launched Dish Hospitality which grew to become one of India’s finest f & b companies. They owned and operated over 40 restaurants pan India across seven brands.
Some of these private brands were Aurus, a modern European fine dining restaurant that introduced molecular gastronomy to the city; Sanchos, a Mexican cantina; SingKong, a pan Asian restaurant; Nido, a European bistro and Nashta Chai, Indian street food kiosks around the city. Along with Cle, in Dubai, a modern Middle Eastern restaurant helmed by Michelin star chef, Greg Malouf.
His goal is to build a dynamic community and enrich a team culture while telling compelling stories through food. When not looking after his team and guests at Slink & Bardot and Banng, Vicky finds time to pursue his other interests including growing plants and yoga.
