In this exhibition, Dutch artist Afra Eisma presents a series of textile-based installations that explore vulnerability, resistance, and healing, foregrounding emotion as both personal and political energy. Crafted with silk and organza, eisma transforms garments into immersive, tactile environments where anger, care, and emotional expression are held as powerful forces for transformation rather than burdens to be hidden.
Using a multitude of textures, colours, and playful visual strategies, the exhibition creates space for reflection, allyship, and emotional intensity, centering care and generosity as acts of resistance. The installations also open up important conversations around mental wellbeing, gender-based violence, and the role of imagination as a shared space for dialogue, empathy, and collective acknowledgement.
