The approach is to simplify forms rather than simplify craftsmanship. I often say that lighting is the jewellery of a home; when chosen thoughtfully, it completes the entire design narrative.
They are also seeing a move towards sculptural, organic forms inspired by nature rather than overly ornate designs. Layered lighting, combining statement pendants, floor lamps and accent lighting is becoming essential for creating inviting interiors during the festive and winter months. At Yaahvi, clients are gravitating towards pieces that feel collected rather than manufactured, where handcrafted details and natural materials add depth, character, and quiet luxury to a space.
Alongside this, their exploration of handcrafted glass, from layered glass mosaic to double-cast glass, has become an integral part of their design language. Across every collection, their signature lies not in a single material but in our commitment to transforming traditional Indian craftsmanship into timeless, contemporary design.
The collections feature handcrafted metal wire weaving, repoussé metalwork, sand casting, glass mosaic and double casting, each requiring patience and precision. Every piece passes through multiple pairs of hands before it reaches its final form. Rather than treating craftsmanship as a decorative element, we place it at the heart of our design process, allowing the artisan’s skill to define the character and individuality of each light.
In an age where everything is becoming increasingly digital and automated, there is a growing appreciation for authenticity, heritage, and the human touch. The 3000 sq. ft. space is spread over three levels and is home to several old saris, looms, and images and gives you a complete understanding of the intricacies of the craft.
