Gel based primers are making a steady mark in the beauty space as it is the perfect base for flawless makeup.

The primary purpose of makeup primer is to create a smooth, long-lasting base for your makeup, but you’ll find that it also comes in handy when you just want to blur imperfections and control shine.

A gel based primer is formulated as a gel. This is different from a typical cream which is usually an emulsion. Gels tend to have a much lighter skin feel and are very quick and easy to apply. They are much easier to spread on the face, providing better coverage.

Simply take the desired quantity and spread it evenly on the face. They should be used after cleansing and moisturizing the skin. A primer can be blended with your favourite makeup for sheerer coverage that still has staying power. Just put a little primer on the back of your hand and add foundation or loose powder till you reach a consistency and colour that work for you.
