Curated and hosted at Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM), in collaboration with Paani Earth Foundation, Waterscapes of Bengaluru is a new exhibition that reimagines the city’s rivers, lakes and water futures.

Where have the lakes of Bangalore disappeared to? is a common question. But what is the story of this loss, and what does it mean for its denizens? Well, it is exactly these questions and more that are being addressed by this exhibition.

The main exhibit is the result of the work done by multiple organisations working on various aspects of the river ecosystem of the city. This includes the geospatial maps built by Paani on rivers, the work of Biome Environmental Trust on wells and groundwater recharge, Well Labs on lake frameworks, individuals who have worked on rainwater harvesting solutions, K-100 Project by the Mod Foundation which integrates stormwater drain rejuvenation with public space development, Kham River revival by Ecosattva and many more. It is about bringing the story of the rivers of the city, its pain, what it has been going through, and how we can help her to revive.
