Rhea Poddar, is a certified gemologist from GIA with a rich family heritage in gemstones. Rhea specializes in working with unique and offbeat gemstones such as Druzy Agates, Japanese Coral, Indonesian Pearls, Tanzanites, as well as rare tourmalines, needless to say diamonds, rubies, and sapphires that beautifully come together in her creative palette.
Rhea’s foray into the world of gems started young. She grew up amongst the revered craftsmen and gem experts at Ma Passion, the family’s gemstone carving business, making her a true homegrown gemstone expert.
She took this passion a step further by graduating from the Gemological Institute of America’s Graduate Gemologist course in Carlsbad, California, the world’s most premium Gemology institute.
After graduating, Rhea joined Ma Passion as Director, where she delved deeper into the world of gemstones, carvings, and the exquisite craftsmanship behind them. Her background lies at the confluence of exotic gemstones and heritage craftsmanship. For Rhea, gemstones are the perfect embodiment to share the splendour and significance of colour with the rest of the world.
