Sainath Jain, Founder and CEO of Hivado, is redefining men’s personal care in India by positioning grooming as a premium, design-led daily ritual rather than a purely functional necessity. An engineer by training, Jain went on to study Luxury Brand Management at ESSEC Business School and worked with luxury and creative brands including NOWNESS and S.T. Dupont in France. His international experience exposed him to cultures where men’s grooming and self-care were naturally integrated into everyday life—an approach he felt was still relatively underdeveloped in India.
This insight led to Hivado, which Jain founded with his wife and co-founder, architect and retail designer Shradha Mutha. Their combined expertise has shaped the brand’s philosophy: Jain brings engineering and luxury-brand thinking, while Mutha’s architectural and retail-design background informs everything from packaging and visual identity to the way consumers experience the brand. Their ambition is to create an Indian men’s personal-care label capable of standing alongside international luxury brands while remaining relevant to the modern Indian consumer.
Hivado’s positioning has earned recognition across leading fashion, lifestyle and business publications. Jain was named among LuxeBook’s Top 100 Most Powerful People in Indian Luxury in 2020, while Hivado has been featured by GQ India, Vogue India, Lifestyle Asia India, Man’s World, Business of Fashion, Men’s Health and others. One of the strongest validations, he says, is that consumers have often assumed Hivado to be an international brand entering India—reflecting its aspiration to be “very Indian, yet international.”
The brand has also focused on accessibility, making its products available across India through its own website and platforms including Nykaa, Myntra, Tata CLiQ and Blinkit. This allows consumers in both metropolitan and smaller cities to access the same premium products and brand experience.
Innovation remains central to Hivado’s approach. Its CryoClarity technology powers what the brand describes as India’s first cooling de-tan face wash for men. Its latest deodorant roll-on further demonstrates its willingness to rethink conventional grooming products. Rather than simply launching another deodorant, Hivado reconsidered formulation, fragrance experience and packaging, introducing a metal-ball applicator and a refillable system designed to encourage long-term use rather than disposal.
For Jain, this combination of luxury, design, innovation and Indian relevance represents Hivado’s larger ambition: to transform men’s grooming from an overlooked routine into a considered, aspirational form of everyday self-care.
