Amar Ohri is the Executive Director of the Ohri’s Group. An MBA from Johnson & Wales University, Rhode Island, USA enabled him to hone his latent management skills and a BBA in Hospitality Management from Ecole Lemania, Lausanne, Switzerland prepared him for managing the family business which is the Ohri’s Group.
Ohri’s Tansen is a perfect blend of heritage and modern dining, offering an elegant Mughal-inspired experience. “We recently revamped the menu, integrating age-old recipes with contemporary presentations to enhance the dining journey. Additionally, we have incorporated live entertainment to create an immersive experience that complements the richness of our cuisine. The goal is to make every visit to Tansen a celebration of culture, music, and exquisite flavours,” he says. The décor of this renowned restaurant has been meticulously designed to reflect the untamed beauty of the jungle, offering a visually captivating setting. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated to ensure an engaging experience for both children and adults alike.
Amar has over the years built a portfolio of over 23 restaurants and 3 hotels. He was responsible for conceptualising and executing the concept of theme-based restaurants for the first time ever. Each of the highly popular restaurants is an experiential zone be it the Jungle theme at Serengeti or the Caves theme at Gufaa or the Train theme at Silver Metro. Under his stewardship, Ohri’s has won several awards including the National Award for best multi-cuisine court complex by H&FS: the Best Restaurant of the year by ACP (Association of Catering Professionals), Tourism Award for Excellence, Govt. of AP, Times Food Awards and many more.
