In Bangalore there are several film festivals and platforms that are making the case for offbeat cinema. The Suchitra Film Society regularly screens unconventional short films and feature films. Additionally, the Bengaluru International Film Festival and Bengaluru International Short Film Festivals provide opportunities for emerging filmmakers.
The Rotary Club of Bangalore is also doing its bit by doing an ‘International Film festival with a Cause’ to help women who worked behind the camera. As part of this festival international award winning women centric films were shown.
