Devina Kaur – Mental Health Educator and Author. Also leads transformative courses, including The Power of Being Single, How to Make Money Your BFF, and The Heartbreak Process. Devina has also been recognised among the Top 25 Canadian Immigrants.
Devina is also the founder of the Sexy Brilliant™ non-profit organisation Global Revolution and creator of The Sexy Brilliant™ Academy. Through her work, she challenges conventional narratives around self-worth, sexuality, shame, ambition, and relationships — encouraging individuals to embrace their fullest, most authentic selves.
And addiction can happen to anybody irrespective of his or her age, socio-economic background, or gender and that’s exactly what happened with me. “I come from India, and in my culture, especially for women, our identity is based on having a relationship, on having a marriage, a husband and to be the provider, to be the homemaker, to be the mother; having that family is very important for us. And so, I was far away from my parents; I was a full-time single mother, and I was trying to fulfil the purpose I was supposed to fulfil. While living it, I did not realise I could actually go through this.”
“My purpose is bigger than my money worries. My purpose is bigger than all those blockages that we face. And it’s interesting as we go into this project; what I noticed is that my team is so passionate about this as well. The other day I saw somebody was awake at 3 o’clock in the morning, and I was like, “What are you doing?” And they were like, “I couldn’t sleep, so I’m working on ‘Sexy Brilliant’. “I’m like, “Don’t! Go back to sleep.” But this is what it is. You’ll find the people to help you in your journey. It’s kind of saying that as your vibration goes up the vibration of the people surrounding you goes up as well. We’re all kind of like going up in this ladder of spiritual awakening and spiritual intelligence, where the right people will find us to help us. And vice versa. We will find them and they’ll find us. I feel honoured that so many people can relate to my message and that my platform has become a space that encourages individuals to be authentic, from the inside out. As long as I can, I will continue to run a social enterprise and give back to as many people as I can in my community and throughout the world,” she says.
When you are surrounded by spiritually wise, genuine people, you will be more inclined to find joy in daily things. This will motivate you to achieve your goals and allow your challenges to seem less of a burden to you. If you are struggling with dark thoughts, remember that no part of you is your own enemy. Welcome every moment and feeling and treat every emotion like a gift; never be ashamed to seek professional help to grow into a version of yourself that you would be proud of—in spite of all the difficulties you face, know they will shape you into a stronger, more resilient person.
Through the Sexy Brilliant™ Non Profit Foundation, she hopes to continue the mission to remove toxic shame, promote emotional well-being, and build supportive communities where people feel safe to be themselves. Her mission is to help individuals recognise their inherent worth and live with courage and authenticity.
