Look beyond the lake and park and Kodaikanal is a destination that has several sights that will take you on a trajectory of discovery.
Kodaikanal is a popular hill station in the south of India for all the right reasons. While the Kodaikanal Lake sits at the center of the small hill town and has a lot of touristy boat rides and cycling tours available, the real deal is to see the many sights beyond the tourist circuit.
I was lucky to see the city I had been to a few times in the past in a completely different light as I stayed at The Tamara Kodai. Here are some of the places that must be on your to-do list:
- Trek in the Rainbow forest
- Mannavanur sheep farm
- Kookal lake
- Berijam Forest
- Church Trail
- Cemetery Walk and Conservation Cues
