With fasting being an integral part of the nine day long Navratri festivities, specific ingredients are consider fasting friendly.

A feast for your fast, ingredients that are both meaningful and fulfilling like Sabudana, Kadhu, Raita, Kuttu ki Poori or Kuttu ka Chila, and Sawang ke Chawal ka Pulao and fresh fruits all make the cut as far as fasting ingredients are concerned.

Here is a recipe that is wholesome and vrat friendly too. Kaddu (Red Pumpkin) Ki Sabzi and Kuttu (Buckwheat Flour) Ki Poori.
