The Little Rann of Kutch is a landscape that is unique and like no other as it has a biodiversity that is one of its kind.

After I booked my flight tickets, I looked for a place to stay as LRK is located about 100 kilometers from Ahmedabad. One of my earliest press trips was to the Little Rann of Kutch when I went for the launch of the wildlife magazine Saevus. This was decades ago and the landscape had left an indelible memory. Maybe it was the flamingos – the first time I saw them was here.

While I did not have a camera that could capture these magnificent birds then, I always wanted to go back and when the pandemic showed signs of abating, I planned a solo trip here and was glad I could see and capture the flamingos on camera as well.
