An Indian American, Yuven Sundaramoorthy, a 20-year-old Indian American open-wheel racer who is taking giant strides on the track.

Yuven Sundaramoorthy, a 20-year-old professional racing driver, hails from a unique blend of cultural backgrounds. Born in 2003 in Wisconsin, USA, he has strong roots in Madurai, India. At the tender age of four, his family embarked on a journey that would take them to China, where they resided for six years. Eventually, they returned to the United States, settling in upstate New York. In late 2020, Yuven’s family once again relocated, this time back to Wisconsin, where he currently attends University.

Yuven Sundaramoorthy’s journey through the world of motorsports is marked by notable achievements and rapid progression. He began his racing journey in karting, dedicating three years to mastering the craft. This foundation propelled him into the competitive F1600 Championship series from 2017 to 2018, where he showcased his talent by securing five wins, three poles, and an impressive 20 podium finishes.The transition from karting to formula cars proved seamless for Yuven, positioning him as one of the most promising talents in the American junior formula open-wheel ladder system. During the 2019-2020 off-season, he ventured into India’s MRF Challenge Series, where he displayed his prowess by capturing two wins and standing on the podium four times in the F2000 class.

Yuven’s breakout moment occurred in 2021 when he entered the USF2000 series. The season began with a pole and a victory at Barber Motorsports Park, and he continued his winning streak with a pair of victories at the iconic Indy Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Notably, his win at Barber Motorsports Park etched his name in history as the first Indian American to win in an NTT INDYCAR SERIES sanctioned event. The season culminated with an impressive record of four wins, four poles, and nine podiums, securing his place as a formidable force in the championship, ultimately finishing third.

In 2022, YuvenSundaramoorthy embarked on a new challenge, ascending to the USF Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, previously known as Indy Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires. During this season, he demonstrated his adaptability by achieving three podium finishes and consistently landing in the top 10.In 2023, he continued competing in USF Pro 2000 for his sophomore year, running in seven events before making the decision to finish the season by moving up to INDY NXT by Firestone in preparation for a full 2024 INDY NXT season.

  • Finishes 3rd in the Copper Tires USF2000 Championship Series with 4 wins 14 top 10s, 9 podiums, and 4 pole finishes
  • Participated in India’s MRF Challenge Series finishing with 2 wins and 4 podiums in F2000 class
  • Competed in Formula Race Promotions F1600 Championships while securing an impressive 5 wins and impressive 15 podium finishes in 2017-18
  • Yuven has partnered with Alexandr Rossi and Pieter Rossi 
  • Established YS Investment Fund Private Placement Memorandum  (YSIF PPM) in 2018 enabling opportunities for investors to own a stake in Yuven’s career
