Dr. Avishek Kumar is the CEO and Co-founder of VFlowTech, a leading Singapore- based energy storage company born out of more than a decade of cutting-edge research in flow battery technology. Under his leadership, VFlowTech is driving innovation in sustainable energy storage solutions, with a mission to revolutionise global access to clean and reliable power.
He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Master’s degree in Microelectronics from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
A recognised innovator in the renewable energy sector, Dr. Kumar was instrumental in the development of high-efficiency half-cut PERC Mono solar modules—technology that significantly reduced the cost of solar PV by 30%. His deep expertise in energy storage manufacturing and deployment has contributed to more than 1GW of global solar and storage installations.
In addition to VFlowTech, he has co-founded three other deep tech ventures in IoT, solar, and energy storage, successfully scaling them into impactful companies making strides toward a cleaner, smarter energy future.
