IMAGINE: Coral Reef is an internationally acclaimed travelling exhibition developed in Vienna and curated by the Institute of Design Research Vienna. Through immersive visuals and research-driven narratives, the exhibition explores the beauty and fragility of coral ecosystems—often described as the “rainforests of the sea” for the remarkable biodiversity they support. Inspired by one of nature’s most complex ecosystems, the exhibition invites audiences to rethink design through the lens of regeneration and reflect on innovative approaches to ecological responsibility.
The exhibition is brought to India by the Austrian Cultural Forum New Delhi and is supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs. Following its opening in New Delhi earlier this year, the exhibition was on at Science Gallery Bengaluru to engage local audiences in conversations around design, ecology, and our shared environmental future.
