A visit to Bali is a wholesome experience where fun meets food, culture meets architecture and spirituality meets adventure.
Temple Trails
Known for its large number of temples, there are some that you must not miss. The Tanah Lot Temple is an iconic structure atop a huge rock and is surrounded by the sea and is dedicated to the guardian spirits of the sea. This is where you can see some stunning sunsets too. Another temple to see is the Uluwatu Temple, a sea temple on the edge of a cliff southwestern in the Bukit peninsula. An amphitheatre here is the place to enjoy the sunset kecak fire dances and the monkey forest borders the temple grounds. The Besakih Temple in East Bali located 1000 meters above sea level on the slopes of Mount Agung is the largest of all the Balinese temples with three main temples dedicated to Shiva, Brahma, and Vishnu. However, my vote for a must visit goes to the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple on the west of the Beratan Lake in Bedugul. Set amidst a lake with blue mountains, and forests in the backdrop, the tiered shrines here pay tribute to the golden days of the Mengwi kingdom.
