Eugene Panfilov heads India operations of Borzo as its General Manager. Borzo, founded in 2012, is a global delivery service that enables intra-city delivery for businesses. Deliveries range from on-demand to same-day and can be performed fast for a competitive price. In the present day, Borzo has expanded to 10 international markets and continues to expand rapidly. Under Eugene’s leadership, Borzo launched in India and has grown exponentially by expanding its operations in 14 cities. By the end of this year, he is looking to further strengthen India operations by expanding to about 20 cities.
AI and ML are pivotal in streamlining transportation routes, automating warehouse operations, and enhancing demand forecasting. They empower intelligent decision-making, leading to cost reductions, heightened efficiency, and safer working conditions. IoT devices are reshaping the industry by providing real-time vehicle and shipment tracking. Sensors monitor aspects like route, fuel efficiency, and vehicle location in real-time, enhancing efficiency and minimizing downtime. Additionally, IoT devices track inventory to ensure timely and pristine product delivery.
Today, in the landscape of last-mile logistics in India, where traditional and innovative firms vie for supremacy, Borzo emerges as a standout due to its remarkable capital efficiency. With a strategic focus on serving SMEs and tapping into hyperlocal markets, Borzo aims to increase its market share in the category while maintaining a competitive edge amidst fierce competition backed by deep funding.
On the technological front, Borzo is working on incorporating aspects of AI, enhancing security with the development of anti-fraud algorithms and a host of other product upgrades. Furthermore, Borzo will look to expand density of operations into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, while solidifying its dominance in Tier 1 cities.
