The 28th Conference of Parties (COP-28) that concluded at Dubai in December 2023, saw a slew of announcements including a talk by the Indian Prime Minister on Transforming Climate Finance.
This year saw several new initiatives including the first ever day dedicated to health. Some new initiatives included
- Loss and Damage Fund (LDF) by the World Bank
- Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT 2.0)
- Green Development Pact by the G20
- Mission LiFE – Lifestyle for Environment
- Mangrove Initiative for Shoreline Habitats and Tangible Incomes or, MISHTI program
