On a recent visit to Timbertales, a retreat in Coorg, I had the opportunity to sample a meal at Twisted Basil, their in house restaurant that serves pure vegetarian fare.
As you enter Twisted Basil, you are instantly transported into another world. The water body that takes centerstage here is flanked by tables all around. The landscaping gives tropical vibes and a table that faces the verdant greens of a neighbouring estate makes the meal setting worth it all.
Helmed by Chef Prashanth Ravi, the restaurant has a unique concept that offers tasting menus. The reservation is taken 24 hours in advance and you have a choice of Asian, Continental or even the Chef’s special menu.
Served course by course, the dishes are plated beautifully and the taste is superlative. The overall meal experience is unique and unlike anything else you would have seen so go for it when you are in Coorg next.
