Professional chefs are thinking about incorporating local dishes, focusing on nutrition, reducing use of additives, food substitutes and taste enhancers. However, they are faced with many operational challenges, including consumer expectations in meeting these goals.

foodwize’s Pop-Up with a Purpose is a learning and dining experience series, to equip consumers to build a deeper connection with food and make choices that are right for them and for the planet. Since inception, we have hosted 10 editions of Pop-Up with a Purpose in Bangalore for retail and corporate groups and we soon hope to offer them in other cities in India.

For professionals in the food ecosystem, foodwize has just launched its Future of Food Fellowship. This will be a 5 day residential leadership experience for professionals to learn about sustainable food systems, the economics of sustainable food and build their own leadership abilities as food leaders of the future. The first edition of the Fellowship will be conducted in February 2025. The team are now inviting applications from those who are eager to reimagine the future of food.

By the way, by professionals in food, we are not only referring to chefs but also, those involved in financing, sourcing, marketing, operations, and business management. Everyone needs to build new food thinking to be relevant for the future.
